Mother’s Day - Mac mini
Sunday, May 11th, 2008Mum told me she would like to have a simple machine (together with my old ACD) in her room, so that she can browse the internet for news and so on. I immediately thought of Mac mini. After looking for the 2nd-handed one (and indeed I have bought one, sadly need to return it over), at last I decided to buy her a new one.
It’s tiny and cute. All family members love it so much.
Start the power -> join WIFI. Internet is up in 2 minutes (should have been faster if I remember the mac address filtering security).
As my MBP’s iTune library is kept shared, the new mac member is already “ready” to play songs/movies once it started. Videos streamed over the intranet smoothly. Everything just works seamlessly. No extra configuration required even for Front Row in sharing music/video library. This is the greatest experience ever in my PC life. My Dad feels great about that too.
Luckily able to buy it in 12-month installment, otherwise I should have been bankrupted.
Happy Mother’s Day.
